It's news because the original xbox lasted what 4 years and the 360 took its place. Granted the original never stood a chance to begin with but there's nothing stopping MS to do this again even though the 360 should last a lot longer this time.
I think we deserve the right to know if MS is reading another system and what the next xbox could do.
I don't think MS plan for any 360 with an HD-DVD drive in it. I stated before that putting the drive would just drive up cost and nobody likes a new costly version do they.
This was a rumor that one sited stuff.tv created and people just bought into the rumor creating hype don't shouldn't have really existed.

I don't think people are saying that because of Warner going Blu-ray PS3 that's its going to be the year of the PS3 although they made the right choice sticking it in the PS3 for games and movies alike.
Their is a bit of a momentum shift in that towards the PS3 with better games coming out and multiplat titles being pretty much identical now.

Decent podcast. I can agree with what they said about 360 since Halo 3 was a major driving force and with it gone he going to struggle somewhat but with have a good year no doubt about that.
With the PS3 selling more and more worldwide without MGS4, FFXIII/Versus or LBP out yet this year is going to be Sony's year.

2008 is going to be a great year for all consoles but I personally see the PS3 beginning to pull ahead a bit but its going to be close until Metal Gear comes out. Just like the PS1 and PS2 the PS3 is going to explode when it comes out.
